Men’s Tennis Eliminated by Hunter in CUNYAC Quarterfinals

FLUSHING N.Y. – The York College men's tennis team lost by a score of 5-1 to Hunter College in the quarterfinals of the 2013 CUNY Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Championships Friday evening.

Hunter jumped out to a 2-1 advantage after doubles play, winning #1 and #3 doubles. York's Iheanyi Agbor and Andrzej Moczulski were 8-6 winners at #2 doubles. In singles play, Hunter won at first, second and fourth doubles to clinch the match.

Despite the loss, York (4-9) still has a couple non-conference matches left in the season. York will host Webb Institute on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Hunter advances to the semifinals on Sunday.
