BOX SCORE 1 | BOX SCORE 2
BELLEROSE, N.Y.- The visiting Brooklyn College softball team was unmatched in a pair of games against the Cardinals Monday afternoon. The Bulldogs took game one 8-1 and followed it up with a 9-1 victory in game two of the doubleheader.

Brooklyn (21-12, 8-4 CUNYAC) jumped out to an early three-run first inning lead and never looked back. The Bulldogs offensive production was unrivalled, scoring eight runs off nine hits. Samantha Rodriguez went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and scored twice. Amanda Bisz (1-for-3) legged out a two-RBI triple, while Kayla Hill went 2-for-4, knocking in two runs of her own.

Hill also dominated on the mound, allowing only five hits while ringing up seven Cardinal batters in as many innings.

York struggled in the field committing six errors that led to four unearned runs. Priscilla Lallave took the loss, allowing all eight runs on seven hits, while walking one and striking out two in three innings. Thessaly Belizario came in relief and shut down the Bulldogs attack, allowing only two hits and no runs in the final four innings of play.

Unfortunately, York could not put much together on offense to get back into the game. Karen Werner went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Geneva Faulk scored the lone run of the game for the Cardinals.

Brooklyn mirrored their game one performance in the nightcap en route to a 9-1 victory. Norah Marley, Allison Donovan, Meagan Cranston, and sophomore Becky Ganley all had a pair of hits to power Brooklyn's offense. Marley, Cranston and Ganley all drove in two runs, while Donovan touched home three times.

Bulldogs pitcher Marie Oneto allowed only one run on three hits, while striking out three in her complete game performance.

Werner again had a solid day at the plate going 2-for-2, while Danielle Dunn knocked in Joviette Frederick for the Cardinals only run.

York drops to 5-20 overall and 0-10 in conference play. The Cardinals will travel to Baruch College for their final conference matchup of the season Tuesday afternoon. Game one of the doubleheader will begin at 4:00 p.m.
