Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Conference Schedule with 6-3 Win Over Brooklyn

JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College men's tennis team finished up the conference portion of its schedule on Friday afternoon by defeating Brooklyn College, 6-3. The Cardinals, now winners of four of their last five matches, have secured the fifth seed in next Friday's CUNY Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. Their opponent has yet to be determined.
York started off strong, winning two of three doubles matches.
Ayman Busat and
Iheanyi Agbor were 8-2 winners at first doubles and
Andrzej Moczulski and
Michael Benavidez won 8-5 at #2 doubles.
In singles play, York won the top four flights with Busat, Agbor, Moczsulski and Benavidez also winning their respective singles matches.
York improves to 4-7, 3-4 in the CUNYAC, while Brooklyn drops to 0-12, 0-7 in CUNYAC play. The Cardinals will have a quick turnaround as they visit Rutgers-Newark University tomorrow at noon.
