Reynoso, Busat Lead Men’s Tennis to 5-4 Victory over Lehman

Ayman Busat and sophomore
Gary Reynoso teamed up to win at first doubles, and later were victorious at first and second singles respectively to lead York to a 5-4 victory over Lehman College in an important CUNY Athletic Conference match at the Apex Tennis Courts on Wednesday.
The win moves the Cardinals (3-7, 2-4 CUNYAC) into fifth place in the CUNYAC standings with one conference match remaining. Lehman drops to 2-10, 1-5 in CUNYAC play and currently sits in seventh place. York will host Brooklyn in its final conference contest on Friday.
The Cardinals found themselves in a 2-1 hole after doubles play. Busat and Reynoso got York on the board with an 8-4 victory in the first flight over Lehman's Cesar Andrade and Marcos Coto-Batres.
In singles play, York needed four wins and got just that to take the match. Busat won in straight sets, 7-6, 6-1, at first singles, while Andrzej Moczulksi was a 7-5, 6-2 victor at #5. York then pulled out a couple closely contested matches to get the win.
Iheanyi Agbor won 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) to take the third flight and then
Reynoso gutted out a 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 victory over Gene Nakagaki to clinch the match for the Cardinals.
