WESTCHESTER, N.Y. — The York College women's soccer team fell to CCNY on Saturday evening by a score of 3-0.
The first goal of the match was in the ninth minute by CCNY's, Yanique Newman, with an assist by Emily Ramos. Two more goals would then be scored in the 17th minute and the 23
rd minute by CNNY's Jo Taylor. Ramos assisted on the second goal, while Newman and Jessica Salas set up the third goal to give CCNY a three-goal advantage in the first half.
Although the Cardinals took a loss, York's keeper
Sarah Hilaire managed to save five shots.
With the loss, York drops to 1-9, 0-4 in the CUNYAC while CCNY improves to 7-3, 3-1 in CUNYAC play. The Cardinals will visit Maritime College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
