Weekes Places 5th in 400m at ECAC Championships

TROY, N.Y.—York College junior
Tarik Weekes placed fifth in the 400-meter dash Friday at the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY.
Weekes ran a personal-best time of 48.67. He came into the meet seeded 16
th overall, but jumped up 11 spots to earn the fifth place finish. He bested his previous best time of 49.50, which he ran last Sunday at the CUNY Athletic Conference Championships.
With that run, York concludes the 2012 outdoor track and field season.
