Weekes Runs ECAC Qualifying Time at East Stroudsburg All-American Meet
RESULTS
EAST STROUDSBURG, P.A— York College track and field athlete
Tarik Weekes placed fourth out of 44 runners in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.80 and qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while competing in the East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet on Saturday.
Weekes also performed well in the 800-meter run, finishing sixth in a time of 1:57.50 and narrowly missing an ECAC-qualifying time in that event as well.
Meanwhile,
Christopher Peguero continued to perform well in the hurdles, as he placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 59.38.
The women's team was led once again by
Kemillia John, who earned sixth-place in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.40 and 13th in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:03.71.
York will return to action next Saturday when they run at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.
