Men’s Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match to USMMA

JAMAICA, NY— The York College men's tennis team came up short against the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday afternoon, losing to the Mariners by a score of 7-2.
 
USMMA swept doubles play and took four out of six singles matches in the win.  Guarocuya Reynoso earned his first collegiate victory for York, defeating USMMA's Tim Buxton at second singles by a score of 6-2, 6-4. York also won at fourth singles, thanks to a hard-fought, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win by Iheanyi Agbor.
 
The Cardinals drop to 0-3 with the loss, while USMMA improves to 3-2. The Cardinals will host Baruch College on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
