Weekes Wins 400m Dash at Stockton Invitational
RESULTS
GALLOWAY, N.J— York College junior
Tarik Weekes bested 18 other competitors in the 400-meter dash at the Stockton College Invitational Saturday, winning the event in a time of a 51.00 to lead the York College men's and women's track and field team.
Weekes just edged out Michael Henry of Middlesex Community College by a time of 0.05 to win the race. Also contributing for York, was
Christopher Peguero who placed third in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:01.12. In field events, Steve Burnett placed sixth in the weight throw with a distance of 32.31 meters.
For the women,
Kemillia John placed fifth overall out of 16 runners in the 200-meter dash in a time of 28.51.
York will return to action Sunday when they run at the Queens College Invitational.
