York Announces Hiring of Danielle Ballard as Assistant Softball Coach

JAMAICA, NY— The York College athletic program is pleased to announce the hiring of Danielle Ballard as assistant softball coach.

Ballard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Cardinals' softball program. For nearly four years she has served as an instructor at the R&M Softball Baseball Academy.  During her time there, she has run camps and clinics, as well as given private pitching instructions.  She also served as a coach for the Queens Nassau Comets, an amateur fastpitch organization with teams located throughout Queens and Nassau County.

Ballard is a graduate of William Paterson University where she earned a degree in athletic training in 2010.  For three seasons, she was a pitcher on the William Paterson softball team where she posted a 7-8 record and a 2.71 ERA.  Prior to William Paterson, Ballard was a five-year varsity member on the Lynbrook High School softball team where she was an All-County player for five seasons.

Ballard will serve under head coach Tracey Marshall.  The Cardinals' season begins March 2.
