Staten Island Recap
The loss to Staten Island drops York to #6 or #7 in the CUNYAC standings.  A win would have secured the fifth seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championships.  It looked like York might have been on its way to a victory though, when they captured the first set and led 18-14 in the second set.  But CSI rallied to take that set and went on to win the next two and they clinched the #5 seed instead.

In the loss, York was led by Sharon Fordyce, who recorded a match-high 12 kills and six aces.  NaaDria Patrick chipped in 11 kills and Allison Li had a team-high 12 digs.  Evelyn Florentino finished with 14 assists and eight digs, while Pamela Yap had 11 assists and six digs.

CSI (6-13, 3-5 CUNYAC) featured a balanced attack, which was led by Selma Kolenovic with nine kills.  Four other players tallied six or more kills for the Dolphins.  Setter Jennifer Samuel had a match-high 26 assists to go along with 16 digs, while JeanMarie Lewandowski led all players with 18 digs.

St. Joseph's Recap
After splitting the first two sets against St. Joseph's, it looked like the Lady Bears had begun to pull away.  They dominated the third set, winning 25-7.  But York regrouped and won a hard-fought fourth set to force the deciding, fifth set.  But York struggled in the final frame, committing seven errors and hitting -.182 and St. Joseph's went on to the victory.

York was once again led by Fordyce, who finished with ten kills and five aces.  Patrick was just behind her with nine kills, while Yap registered 18 assists and a match-high five aces.  Li was once again York's top defensive player, finishing with 14 digs.  Jeannie Tran also chipped in 12 digs and Emely Vasquez had ten.

St. Joseph's (13-5) was led by Lauren Ganun, who had 17 kills and Kim Matthews who put 13 balls away.  Setter Sabrina Cornia had 35 assists and Nicole Rios added 17 digs.
