Women’s Tennis Bested by Brooklyn, 7-2
JAMAICA, N.Y. - The York College women's tennis team was unable to fend off Brooklyn College Friday, losing by a score of 7-2.
Yuliya Orkis led Brooklyn to victory, sweeping her first flight match, 6-0, 6-0, and her doubles match with partner Liana Rivkin, 8-0. Despite York coming up short,
Anna Ko was able to pull out victories in her #4 singles match (6-3, 6-4) and her second flight doubles match, 8-4. Ko remains undefeated for the year, improving to 8-0.
York, 2-6, will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host the College of Staten Island at 12:00 p.m.
