Women’s Soccer Falls to Purchase
BOX SCORE PURCHASE, N.Y.— The York College women's soccer team could get nothing going against Purchase College and lost by a score of 5-0 in a non-conference contest on Thursday evening.
Purchase completely dominated the contest, taking 20 shots on the day, while not allowing York to get a shot off on the evening. The Panthers netted four goals in the first half, three of which came in the first 15 minutes of action and never looked back. Purchase's Abigail Katz led the way with two goals.
With the loss, York falls to 4-8-1, while Purchase improves to 7-6. The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, when they host Medgar Evers College on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
