Women’s Tennis Earns Second Straight Conference Win After Victory over Lehman

BRONX, NY—The York College women's tennis team evened up its record at 3-3 and improved its conference mark to 2-1 with a 6-2 victory over Lehman College on Monday afternoon.
York cruised in doubles play, winning all three matches in dominant fashion. The team of
Valerie Roland and
Nina Olladikankwu and the team of Kameesha Sylvestor and
Nikita Ramsay each won 8-0 at first and third doubles respectively.
Amba Chanoine and
Tenzin Kunchok were 8-3 winners at #2 doubles.
In singles play,
Anna Ko was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at #4 singles. Kunchok was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at #5 singles, while
Nikita Ramsay won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles.
Valerie Roland was up a set at #1 singles but her match was cut short due to darkness.
York will continue its busy week, which features five matches. York will host St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and entertain New Rochelle on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
