Women’s Tennis Cruises to Victory over St. Joseph’s

JAMAICA, NY—The York College women's tennis team took six of the nine matches without surrendering a single game, as they went to an easy, 8-1, victory over St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) on Tuesday afternoon.

York blanked the Bears in #2 and #3 doubles and in #3-6 singles. Tenzin Kunchok did not lose a game in either of her matches, winning 8-0 with partner Amba Chanoine at #2 doubles and winning 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles. Valerie Roland, Nicole Jones, Chanoine, Nina Olladikankwu and Anna Ko all had easy wins to round out the singles scoring.

York now stands at 4-3. They will host the College of New Rochelle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
