BOX SCORE

MASPETH, NY— The York College women's soccer team was stifled by John Jay College, as they fell by a score of 3-0 in a CUNY Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday afternoon.

York could manage little offense against the Bloodhounds, who held the Cardinals to just six shots on the day, two of which forced the John Jay keeper to make a save.  Meanwhile, John Jay was relentless, getting off 26 shots, that led to three goals.

The Bloodhounds opened the scoring in the 26th minute when Alexis Ochoa found Jennifer Gomez, who beat the keeper for the game's first goal.  Shortly after halftime, John Jay made it 2-0 when Ariadna DiFabrizio netted an unassisted goal.  Just a few minutes later, John Jay rounded out the scoring when DiFabrizio set up Bergelie Louis for a goal.

The loss drops York's record to 1-4, 0-3 in the CUNYAC, while John Jay improves to 4-4, 2-1 in the CUNYAC.  York will host Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday at 3:30 pm.
