Swimming Tops Mount Saint Vincent but Falls to Old Westbury in Double Dual Meet

JAMAICA, N.Y.-- The York College men's and women's swimming teams each defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent but both fell to SUNY Old Westbury Thursday evening. The men defeated MSV 61-33 and the women won 53-45. Against Old Westbury, the Cardinals women's team lost 54-46 and the men lost 87-16.

Alexandra Castro earned a victory in the 50-meter backstroke and Averie Mohammed won the women's 400-meter freestyle to lead York.

York will return to action on Monday in a conference meet against Baruch College.
