Men’s Soccer Explodes for Three Second-Half Goals in Victory over Berkeley

JAMAICA, NY— The York College men's soccer team exploded for three second-half goals, as they went on to defeat Berkeley College (NJ) 3-0 in the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Rachidi Amadou scored the game's two first goals and Sonam Sherpa added a third goal and an assist, as the Cardinals won their third straight contest and fifth in their last six games. 
 
Amadou scored the game's first goal five minutes after halftime and then added another a little over two minutes later to make the score 2-0.  Sherpa assisted on Amadou's second goal.  Thirty minutes later, Sherpa added a goal of his own after Andre Adelson set him up for the shot. 
 
York (6-11) is clicking on all cylinders as they head into this week's CUNY Athletic Conference Championships.  The Cardinals will host Medgar Evers in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
