Bennett and Mohammed lead York to Win over MSV; Men Edged by Dolphins

YONKERS, NY— Ayanna Bennett won three events and Averie Mohammed won two to lead the York College women's swimming team to a 45-32 win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent. The Dolphins edged the men's team by a score of 45-31.

Bennett took first in the 50-freestyle, 100-backstroke and the 50-butterfly and Mohammed was the winner in the 100-individual medley and 100-breaststroke. The men were led by Mostafa Elbasal, who took second place in three events.

With the win, York improves to 2-6, while the men drop to 1-4.
