Women’s Tennis Stays Hot; Wins Fourth Straight Match

JAMAICA, NY— The York College women's tennis team continued its winning ways Friday afternoon, picking up its fourth consecutive victory. The Lady Cardinals upended Brooklyn College by a score of 7-2 to improve its record to 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the CUNY Athletic Conference.
York got off to a fast start winning all three doubles matches. Nicole Jones and Amba Chanoine took first doubles, 8-5, Allana Wilson and Nina Olladikankwu won the second flight, 8-6, and Anna Ko and Tenzin Kunchok were victorious at third doubles by an 8-2 score.
In singles play, Chanoine, Olladikankwu, Ko and Irma Ruilova won their flights 3-6 respectively to seal the win for York. Brooklyn took first and second singles to round out the scoring. The Bulldogs fall to 3-3, 2-1 in the CUNYAC with the loss.
York will look to make it five straight when they visit the College of New Rochelle on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
