STATEN ISLAND, NY – The York College men's tennis team dropped a conference match to the College of Staten Island Saturday afternoon, losing by a score of 7-2.

The Cardinals only two victories came by default as the Dolphins were playing short a man and were forced to forfeit third doubles and sixth singles.  The most competitive match came at second doubles, where Hugo D'Oliveira and Charlton Distin lost 9-8 (7-5) in a tie-breaker. 

With the loss, York drops to 3-5, 2-3 in the CUNYAC, while Staten Island improves to 8-5, 3-0 in the CUNYAC.  York will host Webb Institute tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
