Men’s Tennis Drops Season Opener to USMMA

JAMAICA, NY – The York College men's tennis team dropped its season opener, falling to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy by a score of 7-2 on Thursday afternoon. 

Charlton Distin won a hard-fought match at fifth singles, winning in a third-set tie-breaker.  Amobi Moujeke and Asandoh Jones picked up a win at third doubles.

5. Charlton Distin (YORK) def. Samuel Greene (USMMA) 6-2, 5-7, 12-10

6. Everett Smith (USMMA) def. Asandoh Jones (YORK) 6-1, 6-2
