NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's and women's indoor track and field team competed at the Metro Coaches Invitational at the Armory in New York City Friday night. The meet was the largest of the year to this point. Nearly every event had at least 50 competitors. In addition, the women also competed at the Colgate Women's Games the following day.

Alexandra Nkrumah finished eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.10 and Chianne Ashman was fifth in the 60-meter dash (7.87).
On the men's side, 800-meter dash Tarik Weekes (2:03.30) and Lance Fleming (2:03.37) finished 15th and 16th respectively in the 800-meter run.

Nkrumah led York with a first place finish in the 800-meter run (2:22.7), while Taneisha Renaud added a fourth place finish in the 1,500 meter run (5:14.7). In addition, Ashman placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (27.0) and was sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:03.6).
