York Competes at Richard Stockton Invitational
POMONA, NJ—The York College track and field team earned seven top five finishes as they competed in the Richard Stockton Invitational on Saturday. Shanine Bogan and Alexandra Nkrumah earned the highest finishes, placing second in the shot put (11.77m) and first in the 800-meter run (2:20.64) respectivley. Nkrumah also placed second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.98).
Sophomore Wendella Rankin earned two top five finishes, placing fifth in the 100-meter dash (13.04) and third in the 200-meter dash (27.40).
In the relay events, the 4 x 100 team of Nkrumah, Rankin, Allana Paul and Dekora Sawyer finished second with a time of 51.53 and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Rankin, Paul, Alexis Schloss, and Sheena Murray finished third with a time of 4:16.20.
York will compete at the Wagner College Invitational on April 4.
