Indoor Track & Field Competes at Pratt Invitational and Seton Hall Open
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ— The York College Indoor Track and Field team competed at the Pratt Invitational on Friday and the Seton Hall Open on Sunday to open up the 2009-10 season.

For the women, the distance medley relay team of Alexis Schloss, Fiona Brown, Antoinette Smile and Taneisha Renaud placed first in a time of 14:14.12. The 4x400 relay team consisting of Nkrumah, Smile, Renaud and Allana Wilson also crossed the line first in a time of 4:33.97. Individually, Nkrumah won the 400-meter dash in 1:01.32.
The DMR team also placed first for the men. The team of Tarik Weekes, Chinedu Agu, Ronel Phillip and Kenny Jacquet finished the race in 11:43.00.
Seton Hall Recap
On the women's side, York was led by Shanine Bogan, who won the shot put with a toss of 10.60 meters and the weight throw with a distance of 13.03 meters. Alexandra Nkrumah earned a first place finish in the triple jump (10.56 meters) and took fourth place in the long jump (4.81 meters). Nkrumah also added a fourth place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.22. Kadisha Wickham came in right behind her in fifth place with a time of 1:01.89. Wickham also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash (26.62). In addition, the 4x400 relay team took first place with a time of 4:14.27.
On the men's side, Tarik Weekes ran the 800-meter run in a time of 2:08.01, which was good enough for third place. The 4x400 relay time also earned a second place finish, running the race in a time of 3:36.36.
