Women’s Volleyball Falls to New Rochelle in Four Sets

NEW ROCHELLE, NY— The York College women's volleyball team fell to the College of New Rochelle 3-1 (25-23, 16-25, 25-16, 25-17) in a non-conference match on Thursday evening. 

 

Despite the loss, Irma Ruilova recorded eight kills, three aces and 23 digs for York, while Charlina Gallegos finished with 17 assists and six digs.  Shanine Bogan added nine kills and five assists.  Cinthia Guerrero also recorded five kills, four aces and six digs.

 

For the College of New Rochelle, Elizabeth Johnston had a match-high 12 kills and Zena Jamal led all players with 34 assists.

 

York falls to 6-17 on the year. They will host Yeshiva on Monday at 8:00 p.m.
