Women’s Tennis Cruises to 8-1 Win over St. Joseph’s (BK)

QUEENS, NY— The York College women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over St. Joseph's College (BK) Tuesday at the National Tennis Center in Flushing. The Lady Cardinals improved to 4-5 with the victory.
In singles play, Allana Wilson won the closest match of the day, winning 10-7 over St. Joseph's Kristen Baum. At third singles, Amba Pika won 10-2, while Ashley Willock took care of business at fourth singles with a 10-1 triumph.
Andrea Tillman and Nina Olladikankwu each picked up 10-0 victories at fifth and sixth singles respectively.
In doubles play, Valerie Roland and Wilson teamed up to win a hard-fought match, winning by a score of 8-7. Pika and Willock earned an 8-1 win at second doubles, while Tillman and Alexandra Nkrumah won 8-6 at third doubles.
York will host Hunter College on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
