Lady Cardinals Fall to Lehman

BRONX, NY— The York College women’s volleyball team dropped a conference match-up to the Lightning from Lehman College Tuesday evening losing 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-23).
The Lightning (6-2, 2-2 CUNYAC) got a strong effort from Geri-Ann Matin who had a match-high 11 kils and from Crissette Maxwell, who recorded a match-high 14 digs.
For York (2-9, 2-2 CUNYAC), Pamela Lebron (Santo Domingo, DR/ Politenico Las Caobas), Charlina Gallegos (Mexico City, MX/ Hillcrest) and Shanine Bogan (Brooklyn, NY/ Clara Barton) each led the Lady Cardinals with three kills apiece. Stephanie Ostin (Brooklyn, NY/ Clara Barton) recorded nine digs to lead York on the defensive side.
York will look to get back on track on Friday when they host Pratt Institute at 7:00 p.m.
