Sheryl McBarnett serves as the Athletic Academic Advisor and NCAA Compliance Officer at York College.
McBarnett has worked at York for over 20 years. She spent the first 15 years of her career as an administrative assistant in the registrar’s office.
In 2010, she moved over to athletic department to serve as an academic advisor to York College student-athletes. In this role, McBarnett assists students with registration and advises them on the proper classes needed.
In 2013, McBarnett also added the responsibility of NCAA compliance, where she ensures that all student-athletes participating are academically eligible and that the college is operating within NCAA regulations.
McBarnett is an alumnus of York College and earned her degree in Business Administration.
