York College has announced the appointment of Zachary Siano as the Athletics Internal Operations Assistant. Siano’s position is supported through the NCAA Division III Pathway to Excellence Grant, which provides funding for full-time, entry-level athletics administrative positions for two academic years.

Zachary’s diverse background across collegiate athletics, championship administration, event operations, facilities, guest services, and sports marketing provides him with a strong foundation for this role. We are excited to provide him with the opportunity to put that experience to work while continuing to develop as an athletics professional. We are grateful for the support of the NCAA Division III Pathway to Excellence Grant, which allows us to invest in the next generation of athletics administrators and provide meaningful professional opportunities like this one. We look forward to seeing Zachary contribute to the day-to-day operations of our department and grow in his career at York,” said York College Director of Athletics Carl Christian.
In his role at York, Siano will support the department’s internal operations and contribute to the day-to-day administration and coordination of York College Athletics.

I am looking forward to contributing to the department's daily internal operations and administration while gaining valuable experience from professional's in the field of collegiate athletics," said Siano.
Prior to joining York, Siano gained experience across collegiate athletics, championship administration, event operations, facilities, guest services, and sports marketing. Most recently, he served as a Guest Services Team Member at the US Open (2026), supporting guest services and daily event operations at the annual Grand Slam tennis tournament.
Siano previously worked in Building Supervision and Facilities and Event Operations at Baruch College (2026), assisting with athletic facilities, game-day operations, scheduling, event logistics, and departmental operations. He also served as a Championship and Event Management Intern with the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) (2026), gaining experience in championship operations, ticketing, venue management, digital communications, and social media.
His additional experience includes serving as an Employee Experience Coordinator with TicketBash (2024–2025), where he supported event logistics, fan engagement, and event operations. He also worked as a Public Relations Intern with SportsBashMedia (2024), assisting with public relations, social media, networking, and sponsor outreach.
Siano joins York following his graduation from SUNY Cortland as a member of the Class of 2026, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a concentration in Sales and Marketing.
The West Islip, New York native began his collegiate athletics experience as a Gameday Operations Intern with SUNY Cortland Sport Management (2024), where he assisted with game-day operations for intercollegiate athletic events, including ice hockey and women’s lacrosse.
