Diana Guardiola makes the transition to sports information assistant ahead of the 2019-20 academic year after serving the department as administrative assistant for the past two and a half years. This past June, Guardiola gained experience from the best athletic communicators when she attended the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) conference in Orlando. As a three-year member of the Cardinals softball team, Guardiola went on to graduate from York with a bachelor’s degree in movement science in 2015. In 2018, Guardiola held the position as softball team manager.
During her time at York, Guardiola has contributed to the institution as a Health & Physical Education office assistant, recreation aide, game aide and statistician. On staff as a lifeguard, she also taught swimming for continuing education for over a decade.
