Daniel Kodjo Edihe enters his first season as assistant men's soccer coach at York College.
“I am excited about the opportunity with York College men’s soccer under head coach Brahim Chhab, whom I will assist and help create a strong collegiate soccer program. Coach Chhab explained to me my mission in the program, and I am confident I will contribute with student-athlete recruitment and development on and off the field.
Edihe comes to York with extensive international experience developing U-15 to U-20 athletes. Edihe was named head coach of the The French Football Federation (FFF) in June 2023. In January 2023, Edihe continued to gain valuable experience as assistant coach at Étoile Filante (Second Division).
From 2021-23, Edihe was based in Lome-Togo, where he continued to gain valuable experience within two organizations. Edihe returned to second division Étoile Filante in January 2023 for his second stint as assistant coach, a position he held for 13 months from 2021-22, when he contributed to a third-place finish in the championship. During his time with Étoile Filante, Edihe designed comprehensive and effective game plans while assisting head coaches with taking notes and implementing activities.
Prior to his time at Étoile Filante, Edihe was appointed head coach for Edisport Togo Soccer Academy in November 2022.
In 2021, Edihe was the head coach of the H16 Sport Service India Training Academy, where he established training programs for athletes at the U-15 to U-20 level.
From 2017-20, Edihe trained U-15 to U-20 students as assistant coach at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Lebanon Academy. During this period, Edihe obtained certification as a football coach from PSG.
Edihe currently resides in the Bronx.
