www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's volleyball came out strong Thursday evening, but the Cardinals were unable to maintain their early momentum in a 25-9, 25-11 and 25-13 non-conference setback to the Pratt Institute Cannoneers (5-4) inside the Pratt Institute ARC.
First Set Breakdown
- Widmaelle Drouillard slammed down a kill to put York on the board, knotting the opening set at 1-all.
- York held early 2-1 and 3-2 leads, capitalizing on Pratt's attacking errors.
- The Cannoneers used a 4-1 run to take a 6-4 lead before Jaslene Colon answered with a kill, pulling the Cardinals within one at 6-5.
- Pratt created separation with a 7-1 run to build a 13-6 advantage.
- Joeriza Moreno followed with an ace to get York within five at 13-8, but Pratt closed the set on a 12-1 scoring spree to take the opening frame.
Second Set Breakdown
- Pratt raced out to a quick 7-0 lead to open the second set.

Leading The Cardinals
- Drouillard led the Cardinals with five points, nailing down four kills on eight swings to hit .375, while adding two block assists and three digs.
- Bembry-Morris contributed two kills, one solo block, two block assists and four digs, tying for the team lead in digs.
- Zia Lefebvre chipped in two kills, three block assists and four digs.
- Jaslene Colon added two kills for the Cardinals.
- Simranjit Kaur and Moreno each recorded an ace, accounting for York's two service aces.
- Shaday Torres contributed four digs.
For Pratt
- Colleen Russell led all players with 10 kills, finishing with 11 points and one ace.
- Kathryn Quintiliano recorded nine assists, while Eden Shih added seven assists to help direct Pratt's offense. Shih also served three aces.
- Angelina Chung registered a match-high eight aces, as Kelsy Padilla followed with four aces and added four digs.
