NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's Ndieye Sagna has been tabbed a 2026 CUNYAC Women's Cross Country Preseason Runner to Watch according to league officials. This conference honor is her first as a Cardinal. 

Running in four track & field meets for the outdoor program, Sagna was a regular in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4x100-meter events. Her 100-meter and 200-meter times at the Pratt Institute Invitational (Apr. 18) both placed in the top 25 per the CUNYAC Outdoor Performance List. She also helped York to a fifth-place result (2 points) in the 4x100-meter relay at the conference year-end meet. 

Coaches voted York to finish eighth in this season's CUNYAC standings.

Hunter College controlled the vote count with 48 points and six first-place nods. Medgar Evers College followed in second with 38 points, and Baruch College and CCNY were tied for third with 34 points. York College accumulated eight points. The Cardinals commence their seven-meet schedule on September 12 with the Purchase College Invitational. 

The 2026 CUNYAC Championships will be run on October 25 at Van Cortlandt Park.
