York College stays home Tuesday (Apr. 14) for a CUNYAC matchup vs. Baruch College

JAMAICA, NY--- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's tennis faced a swift return to competition Wednesday afternoon, earning wins on two courts in a non-conference battle against the University of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (1-3), but ultimately fell 6–1 at the York College Courts in their second match in as many days.

The combination of Franeidy Mauricio and Munab Hasnain claimed their first doubles victory, earning a 6-2 decision on the No. 2 court. On the No. 1 court, Gabriela Pirondi and Max Moncion collected their first game as a duo. In third doubles, Firdaus Abdulai and Oscar Leyva collected three games.

Battling in singles play, Leyva added onto yesterday's career-high, triumphing 8-6 on the No. 6 court. Competing in the higher courts, Hasnain and Abdulai claimed three points at the No. 2 and No. 3 levels, respectively. On the No. 4 court, Pirondi went back-and-forth with David Hoagland, ultimately falling 8-6.
