The Cardinals, trailing 2-0 at halftime, saw the game interrupted by a lightning delay after 45 minutes of play. Due to dangerous weather conditions, officials called a halt to the contest. The match will officially be ruled a no-contest and will not impact the records or statistics of either team.
The Cannoneers opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Dylan Costa converted a rebound past York goalkeeper
George Molina (0-1-0). Six minutes later, Pratt doubled its advantage with another goal from Costa.
York was outshot 12-1 in the first half, with
Derick Aboagye-Frimpong accounting for the Cardinals' lone shot of the match in the 43rd minute before the weather delay. In terms of set pieces, Pratt also held a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
