www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's volleyball opened its 2025 campaign Tuesday evening with a non-conference home matchup against the Yeshiva University Maccabees (1-1), falling in straight sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-16) from York College Gymnasium.
First Set Breakdown
- Yeshiva raced out to a 6-0 lead.
- Candace Villavicencio's kill got the Maccabees their first double-digit advantage (13-3).
- A Cardinal attack error opened up a set-high 13-point edge (22-9) for Yeshiva.

- Samantha Panameno added four kills, two aces, and set her teammates up six times.

For Yeshiva
- Ohayon paced the squad with nine points (five aces and four kills) and added a team-leading nine digs.
- Elmaleh matched Ohayon's five-ace total and accumulated three kills and five digs.
- Villavicencio smacked down a match-high seven kills on a proficient .500 swing rate.
- Banhamo, Emma Lieber, and Naava Bodek all secured six digs.

York hit -.221 on 77 attacks, while Yeshiva attacked at a rate of .143 on 63 swings. The Maccabees also had the edge in points (36-18), kills (19-12), aces (16-5), assists (17-10), and digs (34-32). Both teams spiked down one block.
