www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's volleyball closed out its 2025 slate Thursday evening in a non-conference road matchup against the Yeshiva University Maccabees (3-14), falling 3–1 (25–20, 25–8, 19–25, 25–16) from Baruch College's ARC Arena.

Mario Tang, following a 2025 campaign that marked the program's highest win total since 2019 and reflected measurable growth on the court.
First Set Breakdown
- Jaymie Mateo's ace capped off a 3-2 York start.
- A trio of aces by Elle Ohayon sparked a 7-1 Maccabee burst, giving them a 9-4 edge.
- Two kills from Zia Lefebvre helped trim the deficit to two (12-10).
- Yeshiva claimed six out of the next eleven points, extending their lead to three (18-15).
- The Maccabees pushed their advantage to six (22-16) following a York service error.

- The Cardinals received some hope with a pair of kills by Madison Plaza, but the margin remained at 14 (22-8).

Third Set Breakdown
- Trailing 3-0, York went on a 9-0 blitz to lead by six (9-3). Plaza paced the squad during this charge with two aces.
- Yeshiva steadily closed the gap, as Emma Lieber's ace cut the deficit to one (14-13).
- Responding, the Cardinals raised their advantage to five (19-14) following a 5-1 run.
- A pair of kills by Lefebvre helped secure a 25-19 victory.
Fourth Set Breakdown
- Simranjit Kaur set the tone with a kill.
- The Maccabees claimed 16 out of the next 17 points to take control.
- Two aces from Shaday Torres buoyed a 7-0 York spurt, making the scoreline 17-10.
- Yeshiva claimed the following three points to restore a double-digit edge (20-10).
- The Cardinals managed to get the margin back to seven on two occasions, but it was not enough as the Maccabees clinched the match at 25-16.
Leading the Cardinals
- In her final career women's volleyball match, Plaza registered eight digs and totaled six kills, three aces, and one block for a team-leading 10 points. That total is her second-highest single-match count.
- Lefebvre anchored York's defense with a career-high 27 digs. She also paced the quad with eight kills.
- Torres scooped up an additional 21 digs and contributed two aces.
- Samantha Panameno recorded 14 assists while adding two aces and five digs to her stat line.
- Mateo tallied 10 digs and three kills.
- Kaur and Chamiya Foy each recorded three kills, with Foy adding one block.
For Yeshiva
- Ohayon smacked down a match-best 12 kills to go along with 12 digs.
- Fitoussi provided seven kills and a team-leading two solo blocks.
- Elmaleh had an all-around performance of four kills, four aces, nine digs, and 14 assists.
- Lieber was a rock at the back with 29 digs.
Inside the Box Score
York attempted 137 attacks, but only swung at a -.066 rate. The Maccabees swung 121 times with a .066 attack percentage. In addition, Yeshiva generated more points (42-34), kills (26-24), assists (22-20), aces (14-8), and digs (78-74).
