Amaniya Aiken was selected to the eight-member 2025-26 CUNYAC Women's Basketball Preseason Player to Watch list, announced Thursday by the league office. This distinction is the senior's first during her time at York.
Appearing in seven contests for York last year, the forward tallied double-digit points in four of them, recording a season-high 17 points and 15 rebounds in a 45-44 triumph over Medgar Evers College last January.
Team-wise, coaches predict the Cardinals to finish in eighth place.

Brooklyn College paces the preseason leaderboard with 46 points and four first-place votes. Hunter College narrowly misses out on the top spot, garnering 44 points and three first-place nods.
Coaches view York as the eighth-best squad, accumulating 10 points. The Cardinals' 14-game conference slate begins with a road matchup against the Medgar Evers College Cougars on December 5.
The 2026 CUNYAC Championship begins on February 21 (first round), with the semifinals scheduled for February 24 and the finals for February 27. The league champion receives an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals tip off their season Saturday (Nov. 10) against the Ramapo College Roadrunner in a non-conference road battle starting at 2 p.m. from the Bradley Center in Mahwah, New Jersey.
