JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's tennis finalized their campaign Thursday against the Lehman College Lightning (2-10), falling 5-4 in a competitive non-conference matchup from York College Courts. The four points tied a season-high threshold for the Cardinals, as they also accumulated four from the Lightning on Apr 23, 2024.

The combination of Shady Kalil and Abubakar Khamis struck gold again on the No. 2 court, claiming an 8-2 victory against the duo of Chris Rameriz and Taishawn Brownlee. That is the pair's second victory of the campaign. Emperatriz Cesar and Bisola Babanumi won their second match on the No. 3 doubles level.

Altenor Molien picked up his first triumph on the No. 2 singles court by the score of 6-4, 6-2. Khamis and Kalil narrowly missed out on victories from the No. 3 and No. 4 courts respectively. Khamis fell 10-3 in a super tiebreaker, while Kalil lost 10-8 in a tiebreaker of his own. On the No. 6 court, Firdaus Abdulai added his second victory of the campaign.
