www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's tennis got on the court again after a long layoff, falling 8-1 to the John Jay College Bloodhounds (2-3, 2-0 CUNYAC) in a CUNYAC battle from York College Courts.
The pair of
Sangay Yoezer and
Altenor Molien claimed a season-best two games in an 8-2 setback on the No. 1 court. On the No. 2 court,
Firdaus Abdulai and
Abubakar Khamis took two games off of the Bloodhounds' Samir Ghimire and AJ Esperanza.
Emperatriz Cesar and
Julia Wyman suited up for the first time for the men on No. 3 doubles.
In No. 2 singles, Molien grabbed a career-best one game in each set, and Khamis managed one game in the second set. Debuting on the men's side,
Bisola Babanumi grasped her first career victory, triumphing 10-6 in a thrilling super tiebreaker on the No. 6 singles court.
