Shamonie Miller made the eight-member 2023 CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Preseason Player to Watch list, announced Wednesday by the league office.
A consistent force in 2022, the senior appeared in all 18 matches and played in 56 sets. Offensively, Miller led the team in points, kills, total attacks, and service aces, and finished second in assists.
According to the CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Cardinals are touted to finish seventh.

Hunter College finished first with 49 points, along with seven first-place votes, while the Cardinals accumulated 11 points. York's eight-match conference slate begins with a tri-match against John Jay College and Medgar Evers College on September 9.
The 2023 CUNYAC Championship will take place November 7 (first-round), November 9 (semifinals), and November 10 (finals), with the league champion receiving an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
York finished last season with an 0-18 record, claiming two sets in the final four matches. In addition to Miller, first-year head coach

The Cardinals (0-0) begin their campaign Wednesday (Sept. 6) against the Maritime College Privateers (0-0) at 6:30 p.m. in a non-conference road encounter from Reisenberg Gymnasium.
