www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis returned to competition Tuesday afternoon for the first time since October, ultimately falling to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (5-11) 8-1 in a non-conference encounter at Roosevelt Tennis Courts.

In the doubles matchups, York claimed a season-high 15 games overall.
Bisola Babanumi and
Abena Opoku took six points in No. 2 doubles, and
Maryam Khan and
Lhakpa Sherpa won six points in No. 3 doubles. The duo of
Nayelly Rojas and
Jamelia Jordan won a season-best three points on No. 1 doubles.
The Cardinals earned their first singles win of the campaign, as Opoku outlasted Allison Dubrow on the No. 3 court. Making her debut for the women's team, Sherpa claimed six points in No. 6 singles.
