BROOKLYN --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) For the first time since the 2019 season, York College men's tennis took to the courts Friday, falling 9-0 against the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (2-1, 1-0 CUNYAC) in a CUNYAC road matchup from Roosevelt Tennis Courts.

"The team was ready for a tough opponent in Brooklyn College. We lost, but played hard and with practice we will only get better."-said coach Kathleen DeRienzo  

Sangay Yoezer impressed for York, taking a game from opponent Ryan Sham in No. 1 singles.  He also combined with Jagvir Hoonjan to take one game in No. 1 doubles. Abubakar Khamis and Firdaus Abdulai won a team-best two games in No. 3 doubles against Allen Mardakhayev and Mamadou Diallo.
