FLUSHING, NY -- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's soccer was recognized Tuesday by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) as the league announced its year-end awards.

Hailing from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Marvin Mondesir has competed in all 13 games for the Cardinals. Playing in both midfield and attack, Mondesir accumulated 10 points (4G, 2A) in 1,087 minutes. He netted goals against Medgar Evers College (Sept. 9), Saint Elizabeth University (Sept. 16), CCNY (Sept. 30), and Lehman College (Oct. 11), while distributing assists against SUNY Maritime (Sept. 12) and Medgar Evers College (Oct. 19). In his fourth season with the team, the senior leads York in goals, points, shots (34), and shots on target (16). CUNYAC-wise, Mondesir is top-10 in shots (7th) and shots on target (T-8th). This is his second career All-Star selection and York's fifth since 2019. 

A native of Rosedale, New York, Alex Conde has started in all 13 games in the Cardinal defense this season, playing 1,119 minutes. Conde scored his first career goal in a 2-1 victory against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 19), heading home the game-winning goal at the back post. This distinction becomes Conde's second consecutive Sportsmanship Team selection and York's fourth in as many seasons.

The Cardinals (1-11-1) face the Pratt Institute Cannoneers (1-11-2) at 3 p.m. from Aviator Field as they close out the 2023 campaign. Before kick-off, Shemar Green (2019-23), Jafet Gomez (2022-23), Kamil Kuzminski (2022-23), Kervin Mondesir (2019-23), and Marvin Mondesir (2019-23) will be recognized for their dedication to York College Athletics with the annual Senior Day Ceremony.
