Terrell Fullerton was recognized Tuesday by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) as a Divisions II-III Weekly Honor Roll selection for games played January 2-8.
Fullerton stuffed the stat sheet last in two CUNYAC contests last week, averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 4.0 steals per game. In a home CUNYAC encounter against Baruch College (Jan. 3), Fullerton notched his second double-double of the campaign, registering 20 points (3-of-7 3FG, 7-of-7 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 39 minutes of action. In an 81-73 CUNYAC win at John Jay College (Jan. 6), Fullerton finished with 22 points (8-of-19 FG), nine assists (three turnovers) and a career-high six steals. Down 64-63 against the Bloodhounds with 4:26 remaining in the second half, Fullerton scored or assisted on 11-consecutive points to seal the win.
Across 13 games, the junior guard is averaging 17.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per contest, while shooting 40.2 percent (80-of-199) from the field, 32.3 percent (20-of-62) from 3-point range and 78.2 percent (43-of-55) from the charity stripe. He is also logging 33.5 minutes each contest.
In the CUNYAC hierarchy, Fullerton ranks highly in scoring (2nd), assists (3rd), steals (7th), minutes per game (4th), and free-throw percentage (4th). The Brooklyn native also is tied for 15th in rebounding.
