Game 1: Brooklyn 15, York 0 (5 Inn.)
- York put the pressure on Brooklyn's Danielle Guzzardi (W, 3-16; 5 IP, 2 H, BB, 10 SO) in the top of the first as Shamonie Miller (1-for-2, BB, SB) drew a leadoff walk.Â
- After stealing second base three batters later, Miller was left stranded as Guzzardi rebounded by picking up her third strikeout to close out the frame.Â
- Brooklyn took advantage of York's three free passes, two wild pitches and a passed ball to break the scoring ice in the first inning.Â
- Zoey Van Vleet knocked a two-run single off Mary Cuevas (L, 0-5; 4 IP, 8 H, 12 ER, 11 BB, 3 SO) to push Brooklyn's lead to three before a passed ball and a bases loaded walk provided the Bulldogs with all the scoring needed to make it a 5-0 game. Â
- York reached base twice in the second on a pair of Brooklyn fielding miscues, but was promptly relieved by a set of strikeouts.Â
- Miller put York into the hit column in the third with a single. She then advanced to second on a wild pitch and moved to third on a Nayelly Rojas grounder prior to Kiara Gonzalez's inning-ending strikeout. Â
- Andrea Wright produced York's second hit of the game in the fourth with a one out single.
- Brooklyn outplayed York in hits (8-2), walks (11-1), and stolen bases (4-0).Â
- The Bulldogs' pitching also dominated with 10 strikeouts compared to York's three.Â
- Defensively, York committed just one error as Brooklyn had two.Â
- On the base path, Brooklyn left seven runners on while York stranded four.  Â
Game 2: Brooklyn 14, York 2 (5 Inn.)Â
- York got its offense going early with back-to-back two-out singles by Kiara Gonzalez (2-of-2, R) and Cuevas (2-for-2) in the first act.
- Guzzardi (W, 4-16; 5 IP, 1 ER, 10 SO) ultimately stranded two Cardinals on base with a strikeout on Wright.
- Stella Witkowski laid the first stone for Brooklyn with a leadoff home run off Cuevas (L, 0-6; 4 IP, 6 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO).Â
- The Bulldogs capitalized on successive errors to place runners in scoring position, followed by a Witkowski single that ran Mariama Sano across home plate, pushing the lead to 5-0 in the first inning.
- The Cardinals continued to generate base runners as Melissa Noble was hit by a pitch, and advanced to third on back-to-back passed balls.
- York entered the scoring column after Melanie Guerrero's ground out drove home Noble in the second inning.Â
- Gonazalez reached base by producing York's lone extra-base hit with a double in the third inning.
- Cuevas then slugged a two-out RBI single that scored Gonzalez for York's second run of the contest.Â
- Brooklyn led the game in hits (7-4), walks (3-0), and stolen bases (2-0) while asserting their defensive pressure with 10 strikeouts to York's two.
- On the defensive end, the Bulldogs played a clean game while York committed six errors. The Bulldogs left five on base while York stranded two.
