FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College senior Taylor Bellmon collected a pair of laurels Thursday when the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) handed out its year-end women's cross country awards.

As a native of Huntsville, Alabama, Bellmon was named a CUNYAC All-Star for the second-straight season and also garnered a spot on the CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team.  The Sportsmanship Team distinction is York's fourth in as many seasons.  

Bellmon joins Alana Johnson (2014, 2015) and Camille Philbert (2015, 2016) as York's two-time CUNYAC All-Stars since 2014.

At the CUNYAC Championship meet on October 30, Bellmon's rapid strides catapulted her to a 10th place finish with a career-best championship meet time of 31:00.4 on the 6k course at Van Cortlandt Park.  As a second-year member of the cross country program, Bellmon was the Cardinals' top-finisher in four races with high-level performances in dual meets against SUNY Old Westbury (20:32, 1st place) and Yeshiva University (20:32, 2nd place) as well as at the ECAC Championships (31:58.8, 21st place).

During her senior year, Bellmon earned a CUNYAC Women's Soccer Sportsmanship Team distinction as well.
