Flushing, N.Y.—On Sunday March 24
th, the New York City Parks & Recreation held its "She's on Point!". The event was a celebration of girls in sports of their achievements and an introduction for young girls and boys to sports.
This event was open to all members of the public from ages 6 and up. Some sports that were featured included fencing, double dutch, flag football, basketball, softball, cheerleading and soccer.
Head Coach of our Women's Soccer team, Jose Castillo was present at the event with student athletes,
Geraldine Guese,
Taylor Bellmon and
Elodie Dorville.
Coach Castillo and his team were hands on in the event by participating in a friendly soccer game with the children.
