FLUSHING, N.Y. —  The weather forced the postponement of their first game last week, but the York College men's tennis team finally got its season underway on Saturday. Unfortunately, York ran into St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) and lost by a score of 8-1.

York's Tanvir Hossain picked up York's only win, defeating St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) George Garyfallous, 6-0, 6-0 at #3 singles. Adrian Tam also played a tough match at #1singles, but ultimately fell short by a score of 6-3 and 6-4.

The Cardinals will play on March 20 against Hunter College at 3 pm.
